Duggins Smith Builders has been committed to excellence in affordable housing and the construction industry for the past 30 years. We have developed and now manage over 3000 units of affordable housing, as well as, numerous market rate, single family homes and commercial projects.

Duggins Smith is headquartered in Fayetteville, North Carolina and is located at 2939 Breezewood Avenue. From this centralized location, Murray O. Duggins, Jim Smith, and the Duggins Smith staff handle everything from project conception, development and construction as well as managing the end project.

As a result of this operation of efficiency, Duggins Smith Builders has earned a reputation as a leader in the affordable housing and construction industry.

Executive Summary

Since 1986, Duggins Smith Builders has partnered with the City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County to increase the stock of affordable housing.  The City and County have awarded Duggins Smith Builders with 6 million dollars towards the construction of thirteen local projects and using its financial background, Duggins Smith Builders has leveraged that 6 million into over 52 million dollars in new affordable housing. Four of the projects located within the city limits have designated the community buildings as Neighborhood Resourse Centers for the citizens of Fayetteville. Computer access and support services are provided on a daily basis.

In addition, seven other projects have been awarded to Duggins Smith Builders in Cumberland County including a 7 million dollar rehabilitation of 100 HUD Section 8 units. In addition to these 16 projects in Fayetteville and Cumberland County, Duggins Smith Builders has completed thirteen projects in North and South Carolina including six rehabilitation projects. Duggins Smith Builders has completed numerous buildings for Cumberland County Parks and Recreation Department as well as a daycare center and medical office building in Raleigh.
